Engraving Metals $36.55 PREFACE., THIS Handbook contains, in a form convenient for everyday use, a comprehensive digest of the information on Engraving Metals by incision and corrosion scattered over nearly twenty thousand columns of one of the weekly journals it is my fortune to edit-and supplies concise instructiol on the general principles of the subjects of which it treats. I In preparing for publication in book form the mass of relevant matter contained in the volumes of, much had to be arranged anew, altered, and largely re- written. From these causes the contributions of many are so blended that the writings of individuals cannot be distinguished for acknowledgment. However, it may be mentioned that much of the information given in this Handbook was contributed in another form to work by a Sheffield engraver.
